Gigi Balayage is a one-on-one hair studio in Poway run by its owner and only stylist, Gigi Stauder. Clients travel from Rancho Bernardo, Scripps Ranch, Carmel Valley, Escondido, Ramona and the wider San Diego area.

Blonding is the studio's specialty, with hand-painted balayage and lived-in blondes as the core work. Balayage is painted freehand with lightener rather than placed in a foil pattern, which keeps the blend soft with no visible line at the root. Blonde Babe is a face-framing lift for hair that wants more brightness and dimension without a full change, Blonde Bombshell is fully blended balayage with dimension through the length, and Blonde Barbie is the most intensive option, suited to darker starting points, previous color or a dramatic move toward blonde. Open Air Balayage is a French balayage done without foils, booked through a consultation by FaceTime or in person.

Each appointment covers a consultation, a scalp and neck massage during the shampoo, a warm towel, styling, and advice on keeping the look at home between visits. Color correction starts with a no-cost consultation where the stylist reviews the hair's history, explains what can realistically be achieved, and estimates how many visits that might take. The service plan and price are settled with the client before any work begins.

Booking is done online through GlossGenius, which shows current availability and the cancellation terms at checkout. Clients can call or text 760-521-6336 with questions before booking. The studio is open Tuesday to Friday, 10am to 6pm, with Saturdays from 10am to 6pm by request, and is closed Sunday and Monday. If GlossGenius shows a different price than the website, which can happen while its menu catches up, it is best to check with the studio before booking.

The studio plans each look around the client's natural level, previous color and hair texture, and says plainly when a result is not realistic in one visit. Education is part of every appointment so clients can maintain their color at home.
