Dr. Gerard Nat opened his private dermatology practice in Downey in 2001, after several years as the dermatologist for Gallatin Medical Group in the same city. The practice treats patients of all ages and covers cosmetic, surgical and general dermatology. The practice describes its facilities as state of the art and its staff as highly trained registered nurses and aestheticians.

For injectable and skin-smoothing work, the practice offers Botox, which is described as lasting three to six months, and Juvederm Ultra and Restylane dermal fillers. Restylane is used for scars, wrinkles, frown lines and nasal furrows. Glycolic acid peels address fine lines, brown spots, uneven skin tone and acne scars. Peel strength runs from 20% to 90% free acid and is chosen by the doctor after a skin assessment; peels are also available for the hands, neck and chest. Microdermabrasion, a mechanical exfoliation and suction treatment, is another option.

The laser menu includes GentleLASE for permanent hair reduction, pigmented lesions, vascular lesions and wrinkles, and VBeam, a pulsed dye laser used for vascular lesions such as facial spider veins, rosacea, angiomas and port wine stain birthmarks. Laser hair removal is offered to men and women, and facial and bikini areas usually take under ten minutes. For body contouring, truSculpt 3D is a non-invasive radiofrequency treatment for fat reduction and skin tightening. Leg spider veins can be treated with sclerotherapy using hypertonic saline injections.
