Genesis African Braids is a braiding business in Houston, Texas 77063. The menu centers on protective braided styles, with knotless braids as the largest group, along with box braids, boho and goddess variations, several twist styles, crochet braids, kids braids and take-down services.

Many styles are priced by hair length, with listed rates given for midback, waist, butt and mid-thigh lengths. Braiding time depends on how thick and long the client's hair is. Styles that are not on the menu can be requested by asking questions or sending pictures, so the team can check availability.

Booking requires a $20 non-refundable deposit sent by Zelle, which goes toward the total. The remaining balance is paid at the appointment in cash or Zelle. Hair is not included in the service price, and the business prefers Expression braiding hair; other brands are used at the client's risk. Night appointments are available for an extra $50, and a $20 charge applies to late arrivals.

Clients should plan around the studio's timing rules. Rescheduling is allowed up to 24 hours before the appointment, and same-day changes are not accepted. Arriving 30 minutes late forfeits the deposit, and arriving 40 minutes late cancels the appointment unless the client calls or books another date.

Styles are priced by size and length, and braiding time is planned around the thickness and length of each client's hair.
