Gem Era is a healthy hair studio located at 1615 North Hampton Road, #100, in DeSoto, Texas. The studio's stated priority is healthy hair, so each visit begins with an assessment of the client's hair, goals and needs rather than simply repeating the previous service.

New clients book a New Client Appointment, a 120-minute first visit that includes assessing the hair and setting up a service plan. It is priced from $175, and a $50 deposit is required to book it. Returning clients who already have a maintenance routine book an Existing Client Appointment, also 120 minutes and priced from $125. Returning status applies only within 3 months of the last appointment; after that, clients book as new clients again.

Appointments are intentionally limited so that each client receives dedicated time and attention. Studio hours are Tuesday and Wednesday from 8 AM to 11 AM, and Thursday and Friday from 8 AM to 8 PM, with the studio closed on Monday, Saturday and Sunday. To change or cancel, clients should call by 2 PM the day before. A cancellation fee may be charged for a missed appointment without notice. Buy Now, Pay Later is available in person for bookings from $50 to $4,000, subject to approval before the appointment. Gift cards are sold in $50, $75, $100 and $200 amounts or a custom amount, and gift card sales are final.
