Gala Lash

Gala Lash is a dedicated eyelash extension studio on the second floor of Reserve Salon & Spa on Barker Cypress Road in Cypress. The studio is open Monday through Saturday, from 8:30 in the morning to 7:00 in the evening, and works by appointment only.

The studio focuses on two extension styles. Classic extensions place one extension on each natural lash, with no adhesive touching the skin, and can read as natural or dramatic depending on how many natural lashes a client has. Volume extensions fan between three and eight very fine extensions onto a single natural lash, described as 2D when two go on and 3D when three go on. Volume aims for a fuller, fluffier look and is suggested for thin or sparse lashes and gaps.

Stylists are described on the site as certified, and the studio says its team follows high standards of safety and hygiene. Prices are not published; clients request a quote for Classic, Volume or another service.

A first appointment involves lying still with the eyes closed for about an hour and a half. Clients should arrive without eye makeup or contact lenses, avoid caffeine beforehand, and leave children, friends and extra guests at home, since they are not allowed during services. Arriving 15 to 20 minutes late may mean a shorter service with fewer lashes, or a rescheduled appointment, and cancellations or reschedules need at least 24 hours' notice.

Aftercare matters for how long a set lasts. Lashes should stay dry for the first 24 hours, be cleaned daily, and be brushed gently; sleeping on the back and avoiding rubbing or pulling are advised. Refills are needed every two to three weeks, and a refill applies once at least 40% of lashes are missing. Fills done at another shop may require removal and a new full set, depending on the condition of the lashes, and removals must be arranged in advance.
