Fulham Hair Salon began in Newton in 2009. The Wellesley location opened in August 2014 as an expansion of the Newton salon. The salon describes itself as one of the area's most trusted hair salons and says its aim is the highest level of hairdressing, with simple, effective changes to each client's image and a style that fits their lifestyle.

The team includes stylists, assistants and reception staff. According to the salon, it chooses stylists for talent and maturity as well as recent graduates, and all staff must complete advanced training. Stylists are priced according to experience and seniority.

Visits are booked with a credit card, which holds the appointment. Cancellations need 48 hours' notice by email or phone; later cancellations are charged half the appointment fee, and same-day cancellations and no-shows are charged the full service fee. The salon sends a reminder 72 hours before each appointment. Prices are listed as starting-at prices, with additional charges depending on the service. Color clients are advised not to wear expensive or favorite clothing, as the salon is not responsible for clothing damage. Stylist gratuity can be given in cash or by Venmo, not by check.

The salon focuses on client well-being, the customer experience and sustainability, and aims for simple, effective improvement in each client's image.
