Megg Lea founded Fringe Studio in 2013 in a suite at Phoenix Salon Suites. The business grew into a full-scale salon in 2017, and Megg took full ownership in 2022. The team includes master stylists, senior stylists, an associate stylist, an apprentice and a master lash stylist, with permanent makeup and bridal services available.

About

The salon describes itself as offering expert hair and makeup services in a personalized setting. Checkout is contactless and a credit card is kept on file. Products and gratuity can be added at the end of a service, and the receipt is emailed. Clients receive a liability release and health waiver by email or text before each appointment, and it must be completed for every visit. The salon says it follows guidelines issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. It uses sustainable, cruelty-free hair and makeup products, carries Oribe hair products, and offers a loyalty program.

Hair services span balayage and foliage in veil, partial and full options, highlights, color, blowouts, texturizing and cuts for women, girls, men and boys. Balayage without blowout starts at $110 for a veil and $190 for full. Balayage with a blowout, haircut or color ranges from $150 to $320-plus. Highlights start at $80 for a veil without blowout. Silk press is $130 and Brazilian Blowout is $300. The lash menu covers classic, hybrid, volume and mega volume full sets, fills, lifts and tints, with a classic full set from $275. Add-ons add 15 minutes each and include tinsel from $10 and an Oribe deep conditioning treatment for $45.

The Method Apprentice Academy is a 6 to 9 month program covering cutting, color, texture services and extension application, along with business skills for building a clientele.

Clients must give 24 hours' notice to cancel, reschedule or skip an appointment. Changes made or no-shows occurring within 24 hours of the start time incur a fee equal to 100% of the service total, and no new booking can be made until that fee is fully paid. A card must be saved to the client's account for upcoming appointments and for any no-show charges. According to the salon, it appeared in The Scout Guide, Vol. 4, and was selected for 2026 as a beauty and fitness expert.

Stylists listen closely to each client's lifestyle, wants and needs, aiming for looks clients can recreate at home. The salon also trains its own apprentices through The Method Apprentice Academy.
