Fresh Set NYC opened its Astoria location in April 2018 and is owned by lash artist Kayla Salle. The studio focuses on eyelash services, and the team also includes Cinthia Pichardo and Kattya Lagos, plus Laura, who handles brow clean up and lamination.

The studio's stated philosophy is that every set should be unique to the person wearing it. Natural extensions add length, thickness and curl with a subtle finish, placed to suit each client's lash line and eye shape. Volume extensions are built from handmade fans for dense, full looks or shorter, fluffy sets. The portfolio includes volume, cat-eye, hybrid, wet set and classic styles.

Between full sets, the menu covers lifts, tints and touch ups. A keratin lash lift curls natural lashes and can last up to six to eight weeks depending on the lash shed cycle, and lash tint is a semi-permanent darkening that is often paired with it. Refills must be booked within seven to 24 days and require at least half of the previous lashes to remain. Quick touch ups are for sets done within the last seven days. Colored lashes come in a large range of shades, and clients can message ahead to confirm a specific color. New clients who already have lashes from another artist can have a lash removal or a foreign refill charge, which covers extra consultation and adjustment time.

Booking terms: a 50% fee applies to no-shows or cancellations within 36 hours of the appointment. Deposits are $50 for keratin lash lifts and natural extensions and $85 for volume extensions. Buy Now, Pay Later is available for in-person bookings from $50 to $4,000, with approval needed before the appointment. Gift cards come in $50, $75, $100 and $200 amounts or a custom amount, and gift card sales are final. The studio is open Tuesday and Thursday 11 AM to 4 PM, Wednesday 10:30 AM to 7 PM, and Friday 11 AM to 7:30 PM, and is closed Monday, Saturday and Sunday.
