All appointments are booked online, and walk-ins are not accepted. A credit card is required to reserve, and the salon keeps a waitlist; openings are sometimes posted to its Instagram Stories. Changes made online at least two days before the start time avoid a cancellation fee. Last-minute cancellations are charged 50% of the service price and no-call no-shows 100%. Clients more than 15 minutes late must reschedule, and a last-minute cancellation charge applies.

Clients are asked to complete a 30-day curl detox before the first appointment. The detox is meant to clear build-up from water and heavy products such as oils and butters. If it is skipped, a detangle and/or detox add-on fee may apply at the first visit, depending on hair condition. Hair should arrive freshly washed, detangled and lightly styled, worn out rather than in a ponytail, clips or under a hat, and free of heavy oils, butters and stiff gels. A prep and detangle fee applies if these guidelines are not followed. Appointments usually take one to three hours, and color visits usually run three hours or more. New Talent stylists may work more slowly while they are still learning.

Cash and check are accepted, are non-taxable, and may offer some savings. Credit card payments carry a 4% processing fee, and online checkout is handled by Square. Tips can be paid in cash or by peer-to-peer transfer. All sales are final, with no refunds or exchanges. Prices vary by hair length and density and can change without notice. The salon offers hijab accommodations if the client notes it when booking online. It serves clients aged 9 and up and does not provide haircuts for small children.

The salon has a few free parking spots directly in front of the building, paid street parking on Carrollton Avenue based on the space number, and paid parking at the sign in the lot across the street. Free parking is also available one block south. The salon rents its space for small events, bridal showers and workshops on weekdays and weekends, and describes the parking there as ample.
