The company was created by founder Paul Ferraro, who has more than 40 years in the hair and scalp care industry. Long-standing clients were struggling with hair loss and thinning, and the aim was to offer natural, chemical-free treatments that could help.

Before booking, clients can send a clear scalp photo through the website form for a complimentary hair and scalp analysis. The photo is used for a digital diagnosis and a treatment plan, which is returned within 24 hours of submission.

The in-salon menu includes Residue On Scalp Treatment, a 90-minute visit that adds a digital scalp analysis, a specialized shampoo treatment, before-and-after scalp imaging and a results review, and it is recommended twice a year. Office Pro soft laser light sessions run 30 minutes and are priced at $55 per session.

For home care, clients can buy Anti-Residue Shampoo for $40 or follow an at-home version of the Residue On Scalp Treatment, which uses that shampoo, a plastic cap and 30 minutes. Capilia kits are organized by concern and include options for fine or thinning hair, male hair density loss, oily scalp, dry dandruff, and a gentle routine for sensitivity and hair changes during and after chemotherapy or cranial radiotherapy.
