Foils & Fades

Foils & Fades is a Plainfield hair salon with a menu built around color, extensions and styling. Color work includes color corrections, double process, fashion color, balayage and foil packages, and these are priced after a complimentary consultation.

The salon also offers women's haircuts and a men's menu with skin fades, clipper cuts, buzz cuts and beard trims at the listed prices. Blowouts, deep conditioning and a Brazilian Blowout smoothing treatment, listed from $300 and about two hours, round out the hair services.

For extensions, Tinsel hair extensions are $25 for a 30-minute service. A $25 extension consultation comes with a $25 deposit that is applied to the cost of extensions, and the salon also offers extension move-up services and mini move-ups.

Waxing covers brows, with brow wax and shaping listed at $20, and lip wax listed at $15. The salon sells idHAIR products for caring for and styling straight, curly, long and short hair, and the site says none of them are tested on animals.

The salon is open Tuesday from 1:00 to 9:00 pm, Wednesday from 4:00 to 9:00 pm and Thursday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Cancellations made more than 24 hours ahead are free, and the salon will try to rebook a better time. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice are charged 50% of the service, and with less than 4 hours' notice the full service is charged. Clients more than 15 minutes late may not receive the full service booked and are asked to call.
