Foiled Rotten Studio is a hair salon suite in Lakewood. It is on the second floor of a building with the Heyday Collective sign on its side, between Robin and Quail streets.

Every visit begins with a consultation, offered free of charge and in person, to talk through hair, budget and goals. The plan is then built around the client's hair, daily routine and what they want the color or cut to do.

Color is the studio's core. Services range from root touchups and single-process color to partial and full blonding, which can be done with balayage, foils, babylights, lowlights or other techniques. Color appointments include a blow dry and style, and the studio uses Redken and Wella for color and lightener.

While color processes, clients can help themselves to a complimentary snack and beverage bar, and full meals can be bought. The building has a common area, an outdoor patio and a third-floor processing lounge with refreshments. Parking behind The Nest building is in reserved spots, so clients can use the free lot across the street at the Margaret apartments or nearby free and metered street parking.

Visits start with a plan built around each client's hair, lifestyle and goals. The studio recommends a color-safe shampoo and conditioner and rinsing with water that is not very hot at home to help color last.
