Fluff Me

Fluff Me is a bridal and event hair team that describes itself as a wedding and event hairstylist team. It is operated as the trade name of owner Fania Dambreville, and the Fluff Me name is registered to her. The team serves New York City and the Tri-State area and says it works beyond that region as well.

The team works door to door, traveling with its own equipment and products to a client's home, hotel or venue. Getting-ready time averages four to five hours, depending on party size. Services are not booked by the hour, with standby touch-ups as the exception. Standby touch-ups run until cocktail hour and are for clients who booked a paid service. Touch-ups for guests whose hair was done by an outside vendor or by themselves are charged at a full service rate. A travel fee applies to all requested services. For services outside NYC, the client covers cab or airport travel, room and board, and vendor meals when needed. Party bookings include an assistant fee for a licensed cosmetologist working under the team's COI on the date. The team works with recommended vendors for the bridal day, can recommend makeup artists and photographers on request, and offers hair planning support with the bride or her planner.

Dates are booked first come, first served, up to one year ahead, and only one wedding is booked per date. Weekend dates are reserved for bridal bookings. To secure a date, a signed contract and a paid retainer are required, and a date is not held on an inquiry alone. The retainer is forfeited if the contract is not completed within 48 hours and is non-refundable once booked, unless an error was made by Fluff Me. Hair trials are held in the salon at the Manhattan location on Wednesdays and Thursdays, are recommended two to three months before the wedding, and can be added at booking. A trial does not guarantee a contract, and either side may decline to book afterward. Trials are non-refundable. Clients are asked to disclose allergies and skin conditions in advance, and to wash and blow out their hair the night before, shampooing twice without conditioner and avoiding oils and deep conditioning treatments.

Works on location with its own professional products and tools, and plans the wedding-day schedule with the bride or her planner.
