The salon says it has been a local favorite for more than a decade and describes itself as Arizona's only Alterna exclusive salon. Clients come from Tempe, Chandler, Phoenix, Mesa, Gilbert, Scottsdale, Ahwatukee and the wider Valley.

The menu is organized around hair. Color runs from toners and glossing to all-over color, highlights, ombre and balayage, corrective color and fashion color, with separate men's color and highlights. Cuts and styling cover men's and women's haircuts, shampoo and style, bang trims, up-dos and bridal up-dos. Texture services include Keratin Complex, Keratin Complex express blowouts, and dry-hair flat ironing and hot-iron curling. Specialty add-ons include Olaplex, Bond Ultim8, Keratin Hair Detox, custom color and micro cuts. Treatments include Caviar Rx and custom treatments, and the salon also offers lip, chin and eyebrow waxing.

Every service includes a consultation, a complimentary Flirt Special Blend coffee with a hot mini pastry, a hot towel and lavender hand massage, a lavender scalp massage, Alterna shampoo and conditioner, and a blow-dry with fashion style. The salon says all of its stylists are advanced stylists with at least two years of experience in the beauty industry.

Online booking is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Tempe inquiries go to 480.820.3544, Chandler inquiries to 480.838.9897, and general email to flirtmail@flirthairsalon.com. The salon is listed as a preferred vendor on Decidio in the Tempe bridal and beauty sections, and corporate packages are arranged through the salon owner. Cash and cards are both accepted, with cards and cash preferred.

Clients receive a 100% guarantee on services within two weeks of the service date, and stylists decide all service guarantees. Color guarantees do not apply to color done outside the salon. Cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice, and same-day cancellations and no-shows are charged 50% of the total service fee. Corrective Color and Keratin Complex require a complimentary consultation, and Fashion Color Previously Lightened and Fashion Color with Lightening need a non-refundable deposit. The Tempe location is not suited to children under 12, who must be receiving services with a parent present. A referral program gives clients $10 off a future service when a friend or family member books.
