Flaunt

Flaunt is a Baltimore salon that operates as a creative space where several of the city's leading stylists work side by side. The salon says it was named Best Salon by GayLife Paper and featured in Baltimore Magazine. Flaunt aims to be an easygoing, comfortable place where clients feel at ease.

Each stylist sets their own approach and pricing. Cuts are tailored to the client's style, face shape and hair type. Color ranges from balayage to bold transformations and is priced by the look and the stylist, while basic treatments carry the same rate regardless of who performs them. Extensions are customized for added length, volume, or both. Bridal styling is available in the salon or on location, and bridal bookings are made by phone. Personalized consultations are recommended for first-time clients and anyone considering a big change.

Keratin is offered in two versions. Standard Keratin, at a base price of $350 and taking about 2.5 to 3 hours, suits most hair types and smooths frizz for up to three months with keratin-safe home care. Precision Keratin, at a base price of $400 and taking about 3.5 to 4 hours depending on length and density, is meant for very thick, coarse, or resistant hair and includes extra flat-iron passes and longer processing.

New clients complete their stylist's New Client Information Form to start booking, and the salon coordinator follows up. Returning clients can book by calling 410-235-1001 or emailing flauntontheavenue@gmail.com. Hours are Tuesday 12 to 5, Wednesday through Friday 11 to 7, and Saturday 10 to 4; the salon is closed Sundays and Mondays. Changes or cancellations need 24 hours' notice. Appointments changed within 24 hours or missed are charged 50 percent of the booked service, and a credit card may be required to hold the next appointment. Guests more than 15 minutes late may need their service adjusted or rebooked. Anyone bringing a companion for mobility, sensory, or medical support, including a service animal, should let the salon know in advance. Payment is accepted by card, Venmo, or exact cash, and tips can be given by card, cash, or Venmo.
