Five + Ivy

Five + Ivy was started in 2020 by a group of five independent stylists who wanted to work together in one space. The salon is local and family-owned, and each stylist keeps their own schedule, so hours vary from person to person. The salon is open Monday through Friday, with weekends closed except for occasional special events.

Visits are by appointment, and the calendar is currently booked six to eight weeks ahead. Children and friends cannot come along to appointments, since the space only holds the guest being served that day. The stated mission is to create a look that feels like the guest and enhances their natural beauty.

Five + Ivy Suites rents space to independent beauty and wellness professionals, including hairstylists, barbers, makeup artists, estheticians, lash artists, nail technicians, wax technicians, tanning specialists, Botox providers, microbladers, life coaches and dieticians. The newer suites sit off Route 45 and Peterson Road with ample parking. Each suite has a shampoo bowl or esthetician sink, a hydraulic stylist chair, 12-foot ceilings, quiet rooms with strong wall insulation and a tankless water heater. Utilities, Wi-Fi, laundry, janitorial service for common areas, 24/7 access and a break room are included, along with a modern security system. Tenants keep all profits from the retail products they sell. The salon describes the suites as modern luxury at competitive rates, and the owner is on site and lives within 15 minutes for business and maintenance needs.

Booking policies matter for planning. Cancellations need 48 hours' notice and are made by contacting the stylist directly, and shorter notice is subject to a fee. No-shows are charged the full appointment price, and rescheduling requires a booking fee that goes toward a future visit. Guests more than 15 minutes late may be asked to reschedule and may be subject to a no-show fee. Concerns about a service should be raised within 7 days, and the salon will take reasonable steps to fix them. Gratuity cannot be added to credit card payments, and the salon may apply its policies with discretion.
