A visit starts with a free consultation, where the shape is mapped, pigment is chosen and the client's health history is reviewed before anything is booked. The brow outline is drawn on the face and approved in a mirror before the first stroke, and a numbing cream is applied before brow sessions. Microblading strokes are drawn by hand with a fine blade following the direction of the client's own brow hair, while nano brows use a digital machine with a single fine needle. Needles and blades are single-use, workstations are sanitized between appointments, and pigment is mixed to each client's hair color and undertone. Clients can pick an artist by style or budget, or be matched at the consultation.
Permanent makeup is planned as two sessions. Microblading starts at $450 for the first visit and the perfecting visit six to eight weeks later is $75, billed separately; the artist sets the final first-session price. Nano, powder and combo brows start at $650. Eyeliner and lip PMU start at $350, and eyebrow PMU starts at $450. Brow touch-ups are $75 for the perfecting visit, $150 within one year of the last visit, $250 within two years, $350 within three years and $450 within four years, and work more than four years past the last visit is priced as a new procedure. Clients receive an aftercare kit and a written day-by-day healing plan. Monthly payment plans run through Cherry, and cash and major cards are accepted.
Skin treatments are non-invasive and begin with a consultation, with pricing set at that visit. Offerings include microneedling, monopolar radiofrequency skin tightening, wrinkle treatments, LED face light therapy, Glass Skin laser rejuvenation, Cryo Facial, Sculpting Facial, Melasma Removal, Plasma Fibroblast and laser hair removal, and skin packages are available at a better rate than single sessions. The Snatched Skin Program is a personalized series of 30-minute sessions planned around one goal. The studio also runs a PMU Academy with small classes for aspiring permanent makeup artists.
The studio is at 33277 Woodward Ave in Birmingham and can be reached at (248) 385-8998. It is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 10am to 4pm. It is about 10 minutes from Troy City Hall, roughly 13 miles from the Warren Civic Center, and about 18 miles from Detroit's Coleman A. Young Municipal Center. The site lists clients from Ann Arbor, Troy, Warren, Royal Oak and Dearborn among those it serves.
Each brow, lip and lash is shaped to the individual client rather than to a template. Skin type is checked before microblading, and clients with oily skin may be steered toward powder or nano brows instead, since crisp blade strokes can blur on oily skin.
