Color Box opened in 2017 with pedicures as its starting point. In January 2024 the space expanded to add a dedicated wellness area and more advanced treatments, and the menu grew to include facials, body treatments, dry flotation and sunlight therapy.

A medical component was added through a visiting Medical Director, Dr. Nicole O'Neill, who comes in for dedicated treatment days each month to provide medical-grade aesthetic services.

Pedicure guests recline on zero-gravity beds with steamed towels, a cooling eye mask and neck support, and each station is separated by a sheer drape. Groups booking pedicures are seated next to each other. Dry flotation sessions take place in private, open rooms, where guests float in warm water with the body kept dry for 30 minutes of uninterrupted time. Numbing for microneedling is also done in these private rooms.

The business describes itself as the only dry flotation and sunlight therapy provider in Michigan. Its sunlight therapy is a full-spectrum light session using Sabbia Med light and gentle heat. Airbrush tans are performed in a gently heated room and tailored to each client's skin tone and chosen depth.
