The herbal treatments draw on formulas based on traditional Chinese methods that date to the Yongzheng era. The herbal blend combines twenty-seven types of Chinese herbs brewed for eight hours, and the business describes its herbal actives as 100% plant-based. The business says head spa treatments may help with headaches, sleep, stress and scalp irritation.

A visit begins with a scalp analysis before the chosen treatment. Appointments are required, and clients are asked to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early with detangled hair; a $39 detangling fee applies to matted hair. Cancellations and reschedules need 24 hours' notice, and deposits can be transferred but are non-refundable. Gift cards are available in any amount at the front desk or by phone.

The head spa menu runs from Scalp Refresh, a 45-minute visit with analysis, shampoo, halo therapy and conditioner, to Scalp Rejuvenation, a 75-minute session with sound and aroma therapy, acupressure, meridian combing, halo therapy and neck and shoulder work. Scalp Detox, at 60 minutes, adds a deeper detox step and herbal halo therapy to a refresh. Signature Combinations build on these, with Zen Spirit Wash pairing rejuvenation with a complete facial and the Far East Luxury running 150 minutes with a choice of one add-on.

Head Spa Academy offers hands-on certification in the Far East method through three courses: a one-day Foundations course at $999 covering anatomy, theory, core massage and hygiene; a two-day Practitioner course at $1,999 that adds scalp analysis and upselling strategy; and a three-day Master and Facial course at $2,999 that adds facial integration, acupressure and lymphatic drainage.

Treatment rooms are set up with head spa shampoo beds, facial beds, heated bed pads, mesh neck pillows and flameless LED candles.
