Fancy Faces By Lala opened its beauty bar in March 2015 and is located in Suite 327-D on Harwin Drive in Houston. The studio is run by its owner, Lawanda "LaLa" Windom, who is a makeup artist. Services center on makeup and include a full-service beauty bar experience with makeup application, one-on-one makeup appointments, and makeup classes.

Beyond makeup, the studio offers facials, eyelash extensions with post-care treatments, and microblading for semi-permanent eyebrows. Microblading follows a set schedule: a perfecting session four to eight weeks after the first visit, then a yearly touch-up within 12 months. Waxing covers both body and facial areas. The studio also runs training: a three-day Intro 2 Waxing Training course that ends with a certificate of completion and includes a standard hard wax kit, and a refresher course on full body waxing that uses a live model the student must bring.

Booking requires a $30 non-refundable deposit, listed on the booking page, and the remaining balance is paid in cash. Cancellations need 48 hours' notice or the full service price is charged. Clients get a five-minute grace period; after that a $10 late fee applies, and arriving 15 minutes or more late results in cancellation and a $15 fee. Clients should arrive with a clean, makeup-free face, since a $15 cleaning fee applies otherwise. Appointments before 9:00 AM or after 7:00 PM carry an extra $25 fee, and a travel fee applies when the artist goes to the client. Services are non-refundable, though corrections can be requested within three days of the appointment. Listed prices are introductory and may change.

No appointment is needed for walk-in visits, which are welcome Tuesday to Saturday. On Sundays the salon is open from noon until 4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday it runs from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Thursday hours stretch to 7 p.m., and Friday opens an hour earlier at 9 a.m. and closes at 7 p.m. Saturday runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
