Laura Aussant owns and operates the clinic and has practiced as a licensed esthetician in Newburyport for 23 years. Dr. Michele Sasmor, a board-certified plastic surgeon, serves as acting Medical Director. That relationship provides clinical oversight of the more clinical treatments and a local physician for referrals that fall outside esthetic work. The business says it carries medical grade skincare through this relationship.

Every client begins with a detailed consultation, and a customized treatment plan is built from it. A free 15-minute skincare consultation with a licensed esthetician is available to talk through concerns, routine and recommendations. The Face Reality Acne Facial costs $145 and runs one hour, with a skin assessment, a personalized home care regimen, an acne chemical peel, extractions and a soothing mask. The signature facial costs $190 and runs one hour 15 minutes. Facials and dermaplaning finish with an X08 hydrating mask.

Acne Bootcamp is a three-month program for $840 that includes a comprehensive consultation with an acne specialist and six custom facial treatments, scheduled every two weeks. Recommended homecare products are purchased separately. The studio is described as quiet and welcoming, with unhurried treatments.

The Light Lounge by Faces is at 112 Parker Street, Suite 211, and is open weekdays 8 AM to 6 PM and weekends 8 AM to 4 PM.
