FabLife Studio offers hair extension, weave, wig and hair styling services across two Houston locations. The owner, Red, is also a hairstylist and does much of the install work, and a second staff member also takes appointments.

The menu is organized around protective install types: quick weaves, sew-ins, frontal and closure installs, wig applications and touch-ups, braids, ponytails, and simple styling such as washes, curls, flat ironing and perms. Sewing prices include three bundles, and each extra bundle is $15.

Booking is done through the studio's online page. A non-refundable $25 deposit secures an appointment and is applied to the total. Clients who arrive 15 minutes late are charged a late fee, and arriving 30 minutes or more late cancels the appointment. Children and extra guests are not allowed at appointments. The remaining balance is paid at the appointment by cash, Cash App or Zelle only.

Hair needs to be clean, washed and fully detangled before the visit, and any wash has to be booked ahead as an add-on. Closures need to be an HD closure, and HD closures should be arranged at least a day before the appointment because of limited availability. Clients unsure which closure to choose can text the studio for approved options. Wigs must come in clean, since the studio does not clean them, and frontals are dropped off two days ahead for bleaching and plucking. The studio also sells its own Fablife wigs and wig accessories online, with pickup at the Cullen location Tuesday through Saturday.

Trends learned in classes are brought back to clients and the team, and each client's look is built around what they want from their hair.
