Excuse My Twists is run from a home studio in North Houston by its owner, Mirry, who does the braiding herself. Bookings are by appointment, and the business is closed on major holidays.

The price list covers Senegalese twists in several lengths, from waist length up to waist-to-butt length, along with regular, invisible, goddess and boho soft locs, and spring, half tribal and half spring, boho spring, boho Senegalese and boho invisible twists. Hair is included in every listed service, and the braider supplies the braiding hair. Soft loc removal is available, but only for locs the braider installed.

Signature styles include Boho Island Twists, Boho Senegalese Twists and Spring Twists, plus knotless braids finished with synthetic curls, short knotless braids with curled tips, invisible locs in a boho look, human hair soft locs styled in boho fashion, invisible twists in a boho look, lemonade tribal twists paired with knotless Senegalese twists, and soft locs with a light touch of boho curl.

Clients are asked to arrive with freshly washed, product-free hair and a scalp free of heavy oils, grease or leave-in conditioner. Hair should be detangled and blown out straight or fully stretched beforehand, and it must be at least 3 inches long. An extra prep fee may apply if detangling or blowing out is needed at the appointment. A non-refundable deposit at booking goes toward the final price.

Protective styling built around lightweight braids and twists, with hair prepped before the appointment. A complimentary vinegar rinse is offered for sensitive scalps when requested in the booking notes.
