The cosmetology program is 1500 hours and is usually completed within 12 months for students with excellent attendance. Full-time students attend 33 hours a week, with a required Monday theory day and classes Tuesday through Friday. A 20-hour part-time schedule with flexible hours is also available. The curriculum covers hair cutting, coloring, manicuring and makeup, and includes a professional development and salon business course with resume writing and mock job interviews.

The student salon is where the public can book or walk in for full-service haircare and other services at reduced prices. The work is done by cosmetology students under the supervision of licensed instructors. Walk-ins are welcome during open clinic floor hours, but haircuts should arrive 1.5 hours before close, and perms and color need to be started 3 to 4 hours before close depending on the hair. Relaxers are by appointment only so fresh product can be ordered, and pricing is set at the appointment.

The school is accredited by NACCAS. It reports 2023 outcome rates, the most recent year it lists, of a 97.86% completion rate, a 100% placement rate and a 100% licensure rate. It works with local salons and beauty supply stores to place students, matching students to salons. Students prepare for the Missouri state exam, which has a theory and a practical portion. The school notes that other states may offer reciprocity for Missouri-licensed professionals. Financial aid through Pell grants and federal direct loans is available to those who qualify.
