Esti WERKshop

Michaela opened Esti WERKshop as her own business after finishing esthetician school, when she was having trouble finding a job as an esthetician. The studio is in suite 520 at 701 FM 685 in Pflugerville, marked by a 'Wax'd & Brow'd' sign above the door. The studio is the room at the end of the hallway.

The space is bright and playful, with a disco ball, neon lights and hot pink zebra wallpaper. The studio describes its own style as funky, fun, energetic, inclusive and accommodating. It says it welcomes POC and LGBTQIA+ clients and wants every client to feel safe and comfortable.

Lash extension options run from a half set, which covers about half of the natural lashes, to full sets. Classic sets place one extension on each natural lash for a natural enhancement. Volume sets place several lightweight extensions, usually two to six, on each lash for a fuller look. Hybrid sets mix single lashes with handmade fans for a textured, wispy finish, which is the style the studio is best known for. Lash fills are maintenance visits that replace grown-out or missing extensions, usually every two to three weeks. Natural lash services include lash lifts, which curl lashes from the root and last about six to eight weeks, brow lamination, which sets brow hairs in shape for up to six to eight weeks, and semi-permanent lash or brow tinting that lasts up to four weeks. The studio plans to add anime-style and other color or creative lash extensions in the future.

To prepare, clients are asked to arrive with clean eyes free of makeup and to avoid caffeine before lash appointments. Mascara is not recommended with extensions, especially volume or hybrid sets. Lashes can get wet after the first 24 to 48 hours, and oil-based products should be kept away from the eye area. Clients who have had a past reaction should tell the studio ahead of time, and a patch test or an alternative service may be offered. Cancellations are usually requested 24 to 48 hours in advance, and late cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee.

The studio is open Tuesday through Thursday from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Saturday from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm and Sunday from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and is closed on Mondays. Clients can get in touch by email or through Instagram at Esti.Werkshop.
