Essence Beauty was founded in 2017 and works from its Aviation Blvd location in Redondo Beach. Every treatment is done one-on-one and adapted to the individual client, so a visit is focused on one person at a time.

About

Lash extensions are the core of the menu. Styles include Classic, Hybrid, Wispy Hybrid, Volume, Wispy Volume and Mega Volume, which is also called Russian Volume, plus a bottom lash option. Refills are offered at two, three and four weeks. Mega Volume sets are built from handmade fans of five to ten fine extensions and can reach up to 1,000 lashes depending on the client's natural lashes. Lash lifts, lash tints and a combined lift and tint are also available, and removal includes an eyelash shampoo and conditioning session. The salon uses lightweight, high-quality lash products.

Brow services can be booked alone or combined: lamination, tinting, shaping and waxing. Facials use Dermalogica and other premium skincare brands. Options range from HydraFacial Classic and Deluxe and a personalized facial to oxygen infusion, a teen facial, an acne treatment, a power peel, sensitive and bright skin treatments, an anti-aging collagen facial and a quick express renewal. Microneedling, also called collagen induction therapy, is offered, and LED red and blue light therapy can be added to facials. Several facials are also sold as packages of three treatments, and new clients may be offered introductory pricing on selected services.

Semi-permanent makeup includes ombre powder eyebrows, upper eyeliner using mucosal wet line work, 3D eyebrow microblading and manually created hairlines. Clients approve the shape and color design before any procedure begins, and a topical numbing cream is applied to the area first. Results are described as lasting about one to two years depending on skin type, lifestyle and sun exposure, and touch-ups are available as needed.

Waxing covers the face, underarms, hands, arms, legs, chest, back and shoulders. Hair should be at least about a quarter inch long, and waxing is generally recommended every three to six weeks. Waxing should be postponed if the skin is irritated, sunburned or broken.
