The brand was founded in Chicago and lists campaign and production work for clients including Crocs, Oribe Show, Meijer, Kraft Heinz and United Airlines.

The business is built around its artist and owner, Karen Jiménez. Her training includes cosmetology school, which she finished in 2014, and a period of study in Colombia focused on thicker and curly hair, hair extensions and keratin treatments. She also took part in an artist residency in Bogotá with the group Virreina.

Beyond commercial and editorial hair and makeup, Karen is widening her creative practice into art installations. Her sculptural wig project 'Lo Llevo En La Sangre' draws on a pre-Columbian poporo artifact held at Bogotá's Museo de Oro, bringing together her hair work and sculptural design.

Work is built around slow, detailed attention to each client and the look they have in mind.
