Encore Hair

Encore Hair is located at 11239 Ventura Blvd in Studio City and is owned by Chelbi H. The salon focuses on healthy hair and offers hair color, cutting and styling, extension services, and braids and natural hair styles.

The salon also teaches. Education offerings include small group workshops, in-salon training, private classes, educational demos, and education for educators. Two four-hour hands-on classes each award a certification: a Natural Hair Styling class, and an Evolution of Hair class that traces hair styling from ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome through the Anglo-Saxon era. A 50-minute natural hair education consultation is open to people with or without a license. Classes are open to cosmetology students and licensed professionals.

Visits are walk-in friendly, though appointments are preferred. Cancellations need at least 24 hours notice. The salon is open Wednesday through Saturday from 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 7:30 PM, and is closed Monday and Tuesday. A referral program gives $50 off a service for every third person referred.

The salon does not sell products for purchase. It uses professional brands in services and says it uses only the best products available.
