Emily Jayde Hair

Emily Jayde Hair operates from a suite at One Salon Novi, with Emily Jayde as the stylist. Emily has been creating hair since 2000 and spent eight years as an educator for an international haircare brand, traveling to train salons and their staff. During that time Emily also performed in hair shows and events, and has taken advanced hairdressing classes in New York City.

The salon's work centers on color and cutting. Color services include tint or base color, highlights, and balayage, which can be booked alone or combined with a haircut. A tint or base color is a single all-over shade, such as a toner or a deeper shade used for gray coverage, and it does not lighten hair. Traditional highlights are placed at the root, while balayage starts a couple of inches out for a grown-out look. Haircuts combine dry and wet cutting, chosen to suit the look and the hair.

New clients begin with an in-depth consultation and a longer-term plan for their hair goals, and the visit ends with at-home care recommendations. Extended styling lessons are also available, such as how to blow out bangs or how to curl hair.

Listed prices are starting prices and can change depending on the plan for the hair, its length, and the time needed. Gratuity is not included in service prices and is left to the client. Visa, Mastercard, Discover, cash, and personal check are accepted, but American Express is not, and gratuity cannot be added to a credit card payment. Regular hours are Wednesday and Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
