Elixir is a studio in Poway run by its owner, who works as a skin care and lash artist. Visits are by appointment only, so clients book a set time for a facial, skin treatment or lash session.
The Teen and European facials both include cleansing, enzyme exfoliation with optional extractions, high frequency, a mask and an upper body massage, and the European facial also includes steam and runs 55 minutes or more. The HydraFacial 100 runs 55 minutes or more and combines cleansing and exfoliation, vortex extraction and a customized serum infusion, with optional LED light therapy.
Skin care treatments include dermaplaning, a manual exfoliation that removes dead skin cells and fine vellus hair, and microdermabrasion, which uses crystal or diamond-tipped exfoliation. Both are priced at $100 and run 55 minutes or more, with cleansing, high frequency and a mask.
Lash extensions come in two styles. A Classic Set applies individual synthetic lashes one by one to each natural lash and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. A Hybrid Set mixes single lashes with hand-made fans for a fuller look and takes about 2 hours. The studio states that its extensions are not harmful to natural lashes or eyes and that its adhesive is safe to use. No prices for lash sets are listed on the site.
Add-ons at $15 each can be paired with treatments: Oxygen Serum, Cooling with Peptide Gel and Red Light Therapy. One client review on the site describes the studio as inexpensive compared with other places.
