The name is the French word for a jewel box. Écrin followed Rawlins Studio, a practice Kate Rawlins founded and ran for about six years before Écrin was created.
Kate Rawlins and Alley co-created the studio. Alley brings a background in interior design to the space, which is furnished with curated objects and materials, many of them available to buy in the shop.
The studio says its treatments combine clinical expertise, discretion and personal attention. Skin is studied before any treatment is chosen, and treatments are not rushed or done from a fixed template.
Facials are the core of the menu. The Facial starts at $250 and includes skin analysis, tinting, waxing, a peel, extractions, a treatment mask and LED therapy. The Renew facial starts at $450 and adds microneedling and a light peel to a similar set of steps. Facial enhancements such as Oxygen Bubble, Micro-Current and Dermaplane can be added.
Laser and light work is a major part of the offering, including Laser Genesis for texture, fine lines and redness, Lase MD Ultra for pigment and sun damage, and Intense Pulse Light for sun spots, rosacea and broken capillaries. Dermaplaning is included with each Laser Genesis treatment, and series pricing lowers the per-treatment cost. An online shop carries skincare from several brands, along with home objects and gift cards.
Treatments are planned after the skin is studied, with a focus on precision and personalization rather than a standard protocol.
The space is styled with curated objects and materials that guests can also buy.
