About

E. Noir Extensions + Color Salon has operated for twelve years, according to the salon, from a suite on Menaul Boulevard. Its stated aim is to help guests feel like themselves again. Ebonie, the owner and extension specialist, leads a team that also includes stylists Jiseell, Katie and Angelina.

The salon is open Tuesday through Friday from 9am to 5pm, by appointment only, and guests are asked to come alone, as extra companions are not accommodated. Each appointment begins with a relaxing shampoo and ends with a custom care kit to take home and a review of the guest's at-home care plan. Color guests have their consultation at the start of their first visit, while new extension guests meet the team for a separate in-person consultation first. Afterward, a follow-up email arrives with tutorials, product tips and reminders, and the next visit's cost is reviewed before the guest leaves. A signature mocktail is also offered.

The extension work uses a beaded row method inspired by Natural Beaded Rows and customized in-house, installed with no glue or tape. The salon says the method is gentle on fine or thinning hair and spreads weight evenly. Extension pricing is given as a range because the final cost depends on the amount of hair, the length and the look, and it is set at consultation. Maintenance visits usually fall every six to eight weeks as natural hair grows. Hair can be partly replaced by two to four wefts per row rather than buying a full set, and color is matched to the extension hair before installation.

Color services last about four to six weeks for glosses and toners and six to eight weeks for root touch-ups and all-over color. A Blonde takes about four hours and a Dimensional Color about four to five hours, while a Complete Color runs about four and a half to five hours. A Full Look install takes about five hours and a Complete Look about six.

The salon's mission is to help guests feel like themselves again, with color matched to each person and extension work planned around ongoing at-home care.

The space is calm and relaxed, with a quiet environment and no sense of rushing.
