Culture Club Salon

Culture Club Salon was started by owner and master stylist Jenny Soto as an idea that has grown into a two-location business. The team describes itself as driven and talented, and aims to push back on some of the beauty industry's usual assumptions. Jenny has 15 years of experience and has built her work around treating hairdressing as a sustainable, respected, and fulfilling profession.

Services are by appointment, and same-day appointments are sometimes available by calling or texting 505-485-2346. First-time guests meet their stylist for a consultation before the service. Haircuts usually take one to two hours, while color and extensions can run two to six hours. Most services finish with a styled blow dry. Guests who are unsure what color they want can book a haircut together with a color consultation.

Curly hair is a particular strength. Jenny trains every Culture Club stylist in curly hair, and the salon offers curly cuts alongside its other haircut services. For color clients with previously damaged hair, the salon offers a haircut and treatment service to prepare the hair before color.

The lobby has seating and drinks, with water, coffee, and tea provided. Guests can bring snacks and things to occupy them during longer appointments, such as a book, a laptop, or headphones. The salon carries the Kevin Murphy line, which the salon says is made with more natural ingredients, and states that it recycles and promotes green practices.
