The salon wants to be a different kind of environment, where everyone feels they belong. It describes itself as free-thinking and open, values sharing knowledge, and says it is transparent about business practices and promotes financial literacy. Stylists are encouraged to specialize in an area that interests them and have access to ongoing education through online and in-person classes. The salon also keeps a resident dog named Jet, who holds AKC Canine Good Citizen and trick dog titles.
Booking changes or cancellations need 46 hours' notice; later changes are charged 50% of the service price. Arriving more than 15 minutes late without a message may be treated as a no-show at the stylist's discretion, and no-call, no-shows are charged 50% and need a 25% deposit to rebook. Clients get a phone call before their card is charged. Tips can be given in cash, through Venmo, or by card at checkout, and stylists do not pressure clients. Children are welcome from age 12, and there is no children's pricing. Security cameras are on the premises, and stylists may decline service for reasons such as very compromised hair or rude behavior.
Bridal work begins with an inquiry about date availability. If the date is open, a contract and deposit invoice follow. A free 30-minute bridal consultation can be held in person, by phone, or on Google Meet. Brides receive a morning prep guide for the whole party and, for makeup, a skincare recommendation list. Bridal makeup can be applied by airbrush or traditionally at no extra charge. Group size for bridal makeup is limited, and clients may bring in other makeup artists. Bridal services cover Buffalo and nearby areas. On-location services beyond 5 miles from the salon carry a travel fee of $50 plus $2 per mile per stylist; there is no fee within 5 miles. Makeup trial availability is limited and booked through Instagram or email.
Extension work starts with a consultation. Hand-tied application takes about 1.5 to 2.5 hours depending on rows, and every new extension client receives a care card with at-home instructions. Extension hair typically costs $500 to $1,500 depending on length and amount, with an average order of about $800 to $900, and extension hair is non-refundable once ordered.
Stylists are encouraged to specialize and keep learning, with knowledge shared openly across the team.
