The business grew out of owner Shannon Therese's lash extension work, which began in July 2018 from a spare bedroom at home before moving into a studio as the clientele grew. After becoming a licensed esthetician at the end of 2022, the salon added several new services, and the menu now spans facials, waxing and permanent makeup alongside lashes.

The facial menu runs from a hydrojelly mask and copper peptide treatment through oxygen infusion, dermaplaning, chemical peels, diamond microdermabrasion, hydrodermabrasion and radiofrequency therapy, with mole and skin tag removal also offered. Custom, brightening and ageless facials sit at the higher end. The four-hour Dream Spa Glow Up pairs facial work with lashes for a refreshed look and fuller lashes, and a brow wax and tint is available as a combo.

Some services are booked by request and others can be booked instantly online. The salon asks clients to arrive without makeup and with lashes washed, and to remove rings, bracelets and watches before facials or massages. Late arrivals without notice may not get the full appointment time. Cancellations or changes made less than 24 hours before an appointment at noon carry an administration fee and may not be accommodated. Preferred payment is cash or Zelle, and manual card payments carry a 3% charge.

Dream Spa also offers one-on-one, in-person beauty industry training. Its Eyelash Extensions 101 course costs $1,100, runs monthly for beginners and working artists, and includes a practice kit, in-person lessons, a training manual, hands-on work, a certificate and continued support. The course manual is said to meet state board educational requirements. Microblading 101 and Lip Blushing 101 are listed as coming soon.

Takes its time with each service and does not rush clients through appointments.
