Several booking policies are worth knowing. First-time clients booking a Traditional Sew-In or a Locs Retwist & Style are asked to send a $35 retainer when booking, and stitch braid appointments carry a $35 retainer deposit as well; otherwise the appointment is canceled within 10 minutes. Traditional Sew-In includes a complimentary wash and typically uses two to three bundles of hair, with extra bundles at $5 each. Clients who want hair bought through the salon should ask at least seven days ahead. Traditional Sew-In clients should arrive with detangled hair, or an upcharge of $15 to $25 or more applies, and straightening or restyling curly hair for a sew-in costs $20. Stitch braid clients should arrive with hair washed and blow-dried, or add a wash when booking, and note their preferred hair color in the booking notes. Clients who have not had a retwist in three or more months are directed to book Loc Retwist (FR).
