Double Rainbow Salon

Double Rainbow Salon is an LGBTQIA+-centered salon studio located inside Sola Salon Studios, between Petco and Party City, in the Alpine Summit Shopping Center on Alpine Avenue NW in Walker. It operates as an independent salon collective, so each artist sets their own business hours, booking, pricing, and policies.

The salon's mission is to support self-expression through beauty and personal care. It describes itself as sensory-friendly, accessible, and judgement-free, and clients can request a silent appointment when booking online or in person.

The salon is known for bold, alternative hair work. Kira Dersch is the owner and works as an alternative hair stylist and hair color specialist, with a focus on UV-reactive neon color, painted hair designs, and tooth gems, and also works across natural and vibrant color techniques. Styles on offer include mullets, shags, chelsea cuts, undercuts, and rat tails.

Beyond cutting and color, the salon offers custom drag wigs, custom hair extensions, painted extensions, festival braids, and clip-in rat tails. Blowouts and curl sets are also available. Once a month, Kira Dersch offers pay-what-you-can haircuts on the third Thursday.
