The stated mission is to help guests feel more confident and well, through a holistic view of hair, health and self-care. The team is Aveda-trained, and the salon describes itself as a certified mentorship salon that works with the state to license individuals who may not be able to pay for or set aside the hours a certified school requires. Student Mentorship Program pairs new stylists with experienced senior team members.
A visit starts with a personalized consultation about hair goals, lifestyle and how much upkeep a guest wants. Guests are offered a complimentary beverage on arrival. Shampoo bowl appointments include a hot towel, a customized treatment, and scalp and hand massage, in a dimmed, quieter setting. Chair massage with neck, shoulder and scalp work and cooling oils is offered to guests who are not having color. Before leaving, recommended at-home care is reviewed.
Stylists are organized into levels: Legacy, Master, Senior, Designer, Junior, New Talent and Student. Prices differ by level, but every guest receives the same Aveda service regardless of who performs it. Student-level stylists work under licensed senior staff, and the salon describes a period of about 9 to 12 months of mannequin and model work before they take guests at the New Talent level.
Policies to note: a cancellation fee of 50% of the appointment price may apply without notice, and no-shows without notice are charged the full scheduled services. Arriving more than 10 minutes late may mean the service is shortened, rescheduled or treated as a late cancellation. Extension appointments need a non-refundable deposit. Guests unhappy with a service may repeat it at no charge if they call within 48 hours. Corrective color may take more than one visit. Extension hair is final sale once ordered.
