Dipped Wax Studio opened in August 2024 at 3150 Gilmore St, Suite 5, in Placerville. Frances Sparks owns the studio. It is a small, appointment-based space open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with shorter midday hours on some days and closed on Tuesday and Sunday.
The menu covers individual facial and body areas, such as lip, chin, underarm, shoulder and full chest, as well as full-area options like full face, full arm, full leg and full back. Bikini, full Brazilian and butt strip services are offered for female clients only. Brow and lash work includes eyebrow waxing, brow and lash tinting, brow lamination, brow lamination with tint, and lash lifts with or without tint. Brow tint lasts about one to two weeks on skin and four to five weeks on brow hair, and lash tint lasts up to four weeks.
Packages carry the studio's main value. The Brow Package works as buy six, get two free. Half arm, half leg and full face packages are buy four, get one free. The Brazilian Package is buy five, get one free, and does not expire. The Unlimited Underarm Package is valid for one year from purchase. The Brazilian Ingrown Destroyer Package covers six waxes, with each visit including high frequency treatment, red light therapy and a hydrogel mask. Gift cards and packages can be bought through the studio's website.
Post-wax add-ons include a short high frequency treatment and an LED red light session, both aimed at ingrown hairs and breakouts. The Ultimate Ingrown-Fighting Treatment combines high frequency, red light and a hydrogel mask after waxing for less than booking them separately. Bikini full plus hydrogel mask and Brazilian plus hydrogel mask options are also available. Buy Now, Pay Later is offered in person and for bookings from $50 to $4,000, with approval needed before the appointment. Clients who cannot make an appointment are asked to let the studio know as soon as possible so it can be rescheduled.
