Fancy Faces

Fancy Faces is owned by Tera, an esthetician who opened her own studio after finishing esthetician school. The studio is set up around a personal experience, and appointments can run longer when a service needs the extra time. Tera works around what each client wants from the visit and offers only the services she feels confident and passionate about, learning a new service before adding it.

The facial menu starts with a 45-minute Basic Facial that includes two cleanses, exfoliation, a face mask chosen for skin type, a serum and a moisturizer. The 60-minute Clarity Facial is aimed at breakouts and inflammation and includes extractions and high frequency. The Diamond Tip Microdermabrasion Facial is a 45-minute suction treatment for dead skin, uneven tone and the look of scars and fine lines, and it includes the Basic Facial. The Blueberry Jessner Chemical Peel takes 45 to 60 minutes and uses a Jessner TCA solution, with up to three applications depending on assessment. The 90-minute Pamper Facial Package adds a calming mask, facial and neck massage, and lymphatic drainage. Add-ons include high frequency, lymphatic drainage with gua sha facial massage, neck and shoulder massage, and a resurfacing and enzyme mask with Pumpkin Powerhouse or Pure Enzyme Cranberry options. A 90-minute facial that combines microdermabrasion with a chemical peel is also offered, which the studio describes as suited to maintenance for people over 30.

Beyond facials, the studio offers a 30-minute UV light treatment with red, green, yellow, blue, cyan, purple and white options, and more than one color can be used in a single session. Waxing, lash extensions and lash lifts and tints, and event hair are also available. Braiding and tape-in hair extensions are not currently offered.

Clients can watch true crime shows on iPads in the shop, though not during facials unless they ask for it.

Appointments are kept personal and unhurried, with extra time added when a service calls for it, and services are only added once the owner has learned them.
