The salon describes its mission as giving clients a rewarding, relaxing visit, and says the team is committed to ongoing education. Clients can have coffee, tea, filtered water, soft drinks, wine, mimosas or snacks, and the space offers phone chargers, heating pads, glass covers and magazines.

Starting prices include Balayage from $225, Full Foil from $195, Partial Foil from $165, All Over Color from $150, and an Existing Client Haircut from $85. Treatments such as Bond Builder, K18, Fusio Dose and Luxury Treatment can be added to any color service. Hairdreams Nano Bond extension pricing is set after an in-person consultation.

Bookings are made online through Vagaro, which also has an app for scheduling and joining a waiting list. Dinah is typically booked out six to eight weeks. Cancellations or changes need 24 hours notice; later cancellations or reschedules are charged 50% of the booked service or $50, whichever is more. No-shows pay the full booked service before rescheduling, and clients more than 15 minutes late are asked to reschedule. Children are welcome only when they are receiving a service, and animals are not allowed except service dogs. Clients are advised to wash their hair with UNITE Weekender shampoo before a color appointment.

The salon says it was named Best Salon SE PDX at the Portland Fashion and Style Awards two years in a row, and that it won Willamette Week's Best Hair Salon for 2019 in the Readers Poll.
