Every visit begins with a one-on-one consultation covering the hair's current condition, home care and what the client hopes to achieve. The salon works only with natural hair; relaxed, texturized, keratin-treated or heat-straightened hair is not serviced unless it is being cut off. Braiding, extensions and weaves are not offered, and services are for guests 18 and older. Clients may be seen by a different stylist at each appointment, since the team works together rather than competing.

The salon says its Curly Cuts are its most performed services and that about 95% of its work falls into Curly Cuts, curl sets or Wash and Gos. It describes Curl Detox as its most popular treatment and Endlights as its most popular highlighting service. Color is done with Aveda, which the salon describes as 94% naturally derived and vegan, with Aveda Botanical Repair added to every color formula and Olaplex used during the process.

Appointments are required, with hours on Wednesday from 9am to 5pm, Thursday and Friday from 9am to 7pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 3pm; the salon is closed Monday and Tuesday. Parking is on the street, so allow about five minutes to find a space. Booking requires a card on file and a non-refundable, transferable reservation fee. Changes to styling or cut appointments need 72 hours' notice, and changes to color appointments need 96 hours, to avoid the full charge. Changing a styling or color service on the day counts as a cancellation. Listed prices are starting prices and can change, and color pricing varies with length, density and preparation. Video cameras run throughout the salon, and guests are asked to keep phone calls out of the salon and use headphones for audio.
