About

Detroit Plastic Surgery is a plastic surgery practice at Suite 280 on Telegraph Road in Bingham Farms, a short drive from Ann Arbor, Detroit, Novi and Birmingham. The practice describes itself as a full-service Michigan plastic surgery center. Its surgeons, Raymond T. Hajjar and Christopher R. Lumley, hold hospital privileges in Southeast Michigan, and the office has a surgical suite on site, so many procedures do not require a hospital stay. Patients coming from outside southeast Michigan can get help arranging travel and lodging.

Detroit Face & Body is the medical spa beside the surgical practice. Its team includes physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses and a medical esthetician, and medical spa procedures are performed under the guidance of Dr. Lumley and Dr. Hajjar. The medical spa offers facials, Botox, laser therapy and sells medical grade skin care, including a Detroit Plastic Surgery line of face and body essentials.

To book, cosmetic consultations cost $100, and that fee is applied to surgery when it is scheduled. Medical consultations are billed to insurance, with patients responsible for any copay or deductible. In-person consultations are requested through the website, phone consultations can be arranged on request, and pre-visit registration and face and body skin care forms are available online. The plastic surgery line is (248) 208-8844 and the skin care line is (248) 208-8855. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM for both the surgical practice and the medical spa.

The practice says it has been voted a Top Doc in Hour Magazine each year from 2019 through 2025, displays a Detroit Top Docs badge, and reports a 4.7-star rating on Google from its own page. It accepts M-LEND financing, major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express, and combined financing when needed. It says it accepts all major insurance carriers, but notes that most carriers do not cover elective or cosmetic procedures and that some procedures may be covered in part or in full.

The practice presents itself as a board certified plastic surgery and medical spa practice, with surgeons overseeing the procedures done at Detroit Face & Body.
