Designed By Dre is a one-stylist operation run by Deidre Americo, who goes by Dre. Everything happens in a single private room, so only a small number of guests can be accommodated at once, and extra companions wait in chairs near the main entrance.
Clients book online, and within 24 hours the stylist texts to confirm the service and asks for photos of current hair and inspiration so she can estimate time and cost. Clients who are unsure which service fits can ask for a virtual consultation by text. Robes are available for anyone who would rather change out of their clothing.
The studio works with clients who want their hair to reflect their own look. Prices depend on hair thickness, length, and any previous color or chemicals, so the final figure is set once the stylist knows what is involved. Services are final sale with no refunds, but a complimentary adjustment can be requested by text within 7 days if something is not right.
Cancellations and reschedules need at least 24 hours' notice. Clients who arrive 15 minutes or more late may have part of the service shortened or omitted, and an appointment is lost if the client has neither arrived nor texted 15 minutes after the start time. Card, Apple Pay and cash are accepted, and tipping is optional.
