Desert Roots Salon

Desert Roots Salon opened its doors on July 6, 2021, in the northeast Heights of Albuquerque. Its co-owners, Diana Chaparro and Erin Sanchez, set out to make it a warm, welcoming space for both clients and the people who work there.

The salon aims to treat every client as an individual and to have each person leave feeling confident. Its color services include highlights, balayage, gray blending, dimensional color and lived-in looks, and its cutting menu covers long styles through short pixies.

Booking is done online and covers individual appointments, group appointments, product purchases, memberships and gift cards. The salon is open Monday from 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M., Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M., and closed on Sundays.

New clients pay a non-refundable 25% deposit at booking and provide a valid card on file. Changes or cancellations made 72 or more hours ahead carry no fee. Cancellations or reschedules made 48 to 24 hours ahead are charged 50% of the service price, and same-day changes or no-shows are charged the full price. No-shows must pay a 50% deposit for future bookings. Cancellations and reschedules need to be made by phone or email, since reminder texts are only a courtesy.
