Haircuts are offered for any length, texture and style, from short pixie cuts to long layered cuts, and include men's cuts. Color work covers grey coverage, rich brunette shades, beach blonde tones, color correction and men's color. Texture services for frizz and curl reduction include Brazilian blowouts and keratin treatments.

Highlights are done with balayage rather than foil. Before a highlight appointment, clients take part in a complimentary phone consultation and text two photos, one of the roots and one of the full length of the hair. Inspiration photos are welcome. The salon says balayage grows out more softly and needs less frequent upkeep than foil highlights.

New clients book by calling the salon, where Derek's coordinator, Kimberly, handles scheduling. Cards and cash are accepted. Parking is available on Fairmount Street or in the lot behind the building.

Hair design is based on couture fashion methods, with the aim of a tailor-made result for each client. The salon declines some services where a hair condition makes good results unlikely, and this is discussed at consultation.
