Minor procedures are performed in the office's procedure room under local anesthesia. Complex procedures take place at Virginia Piper Surgery Center at Scottsdale Healthcare Shea, 9007 E. Shea Blvd, where many surgeries are outpatient and more extensive operations may require an overnight stay. Adults arrive two hours before surgery unless told otherwise, must have a responsible adult drive them home, and may not drive for 24 hours after sedation or general anesthesia.

A $500 non-refundable scheduling fee is required when surgery is booked and is applied to the surgeon's fee, which is due in full at the pre-operative appointment about two weeks before surgery. Cancelling scheduled surgery requires at least 5 business days notice or an additional $1000 charge. Phone quotes are approximate, valid for 6 months, and include pre- and post-operative visits plus any implants or surgical garments, though facility and anesthesia fees may change. Overnight stays at Virginia Piper Outpatient Surgery Center or Greenbaum currently cost $1421 per night, for up to 3 days.

Post-surgical care includes written instructions, regular follow-up visits and annual follow-ups. Payment can be made by cash, personal check, money order, cashier's check, VISA, Mastercard, Discover or American Express, with credit card holders presenting a valid ID in person. CareCredit financing is offered to qualified patients, and surgery fees are itemized so patients can pay the office one fee or pay the anesthesiologist and hospital separately.
