Rita Olufowoshe founded De Premier Spa at 950 Threadneedle St. in Houston. About

Visits begin with an in-depth consultation so treatments can be tailored to each client, and several body contouring, cosmetic skin correction, and ear candling services require one first. The spa offers complementary and alternative therapies alongside traditional medicine. It says it has worked with dermatologists, plastic and orthopedic surgeons, pain medicine experts, OBGYNs, and chiropractors.

Only one client is seen at a time, so a companion waits in the building lobby during the appointment. Walk-ins are not accepted; appointments are booked online or by calling 281-496-3772. The spa is open Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm and Saturday from 9am to 3pm.

Facial and skincare services use Phytomer products, a sea-based line from France that the spa describes as natural and skin safe. A limited selection is sold in the spa, and clients can buy more online with a spa referral code at checkout. Dollar-amount gift certificates can be purchased online. The spa also rents fully furnished private treatment suites to independent wellness professionals on flat-fee, full-time, part-time, or flexible lease terms.
