DC Lash Bar was founded in 2016 by sisters Stephanie and Josie and marked its tenth anniversary in 2026. The studio sits on Wisconsin Avenue in Georgetown and has a downstairs studio used for workshops, trainings and weekday happy hour deals.

Lash extensions are synthetic lashes applied to the base of each natural lash and customized in length, weight and curl to the client's preferences and goals. Extensions come in Classic, Hybrid and Volume styles, each in matte black, soft black, dark brown or light brown, and are offered as half, full and all sets, along with colored sets in browns, blue, purple or green. Fills are offered at one, two and three weeks, and as outside fills for sets done at another salon when at least 30% of the extensions remain.

Lash lifts are semi-permanent lifts of natural lashes from root to tip, often paired with a tint. The studio offers Signature, vegan and Korean lash lift options, plus Lash Tint on its own. Lash lifts and tints use Elleebana systems, with the vegan lift built on a plant-based formula in place of ammonium thioglycolate. The studio carries more than ten lash lift shield sizes, with rods for a rounded C curl and flat shields for an L curl or straight lift.

Brow services cover thread, wax, tweeze, stain, tint, sculpting and map-and-shape appointments, with several options that combine a shape with a tint or cleanup. Brow Sculpt reshapes brow hairs into fuller, straighter or lifted styles. The brow tint uses RefectoCil Intense Brow[n]s in four natural brown shades, which the studio says is the only color additive approved by the FDA for brows and lashes.

Guests are invited to arrive five to ten minutes ahead of their appointment. Small refreshments and bottled water are available during treatments. Restroom stations stock complimentary eye makeup remover, micellar wipes, contact solution and lens cases. A consultation is optional, though it is suggested for people visiting for the first time, those with allergies in their history, or anyone with a particular request. A patch test is advised before a first full service.

The studio has a Bridal Package and a Travel Package, along with a Makeover Package and combined Facial Refresh and Signature Lash and Brow Package options. Free two-hour street parking is available on Q Street and Reservoir Road, with metered parking on Wisconsin Avenue and nearby garages.

Artists train, shadow and are mentored in the studio before guiding new artists, and customer preferences are recorded at each visit so a look stays consistent no matter who performs the service.
