Daydream Salon started as a small studio in the home of its founder, Dylan, in 2022. It later expanded into a larger space in downtown Tacoma.

The salon's focus is on clients who have often felt unwelcome in traditional salon settings. It describes itself as intimate and inclusive, and its stylists tailor cuts, colors and styles to each client's lifestyle and needs.

The salon is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 8pm and Sunday from 10am to 6pm. Each stylist takes bookings through their own booking system, linked from their bio. Parking downtown can be unpredictable, so the salon suggests the Flowbird app to add time to the meter from inside for longer appointments. It also provides a parking map and a guide to free parking and paid garages.
